Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his distinctive style. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway up to The Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine's title is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta currently, she is from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician, singing and playing in the local church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music in the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan and was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live sets. The voice of hers was featured in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. She was appointed as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the director of the choral group for the production. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
