Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She competes currently within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai boxer started her fight sports career at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia was a professional who started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas at her fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko stopped fighting to pursue the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote as well as defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina displayed her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended in the wake of this win. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her three subsequent matches, winning over Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
